19th c Staffordshire Pottery Bust of Emperor Alexander I of Russia

This handsome hand-painted English Staffordshire pottery bust of Czar Alexander Ist of Russia (1796-1855) wears a modeled military uniform with white sash. The bust is turned slightly to the right and sits upon a modeled waisted plinth with faux marble painted base. Nice detail and color. Second quarter 19th century. Alexander Ist reigned as Emperor of Russia, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Finland from 1825 until 1855.
