Cabinet-Sized 'Farfalla' Gilt Bronze Bust of a Woman after Emmanuel Villanis

A fine cabinet-sized bronze bust of a beauty. After Emmanuel Villanis, French (1858 - 1914). Entitled 'Farfalla' Depicting a beautiful woman with raised hair, bare shoulders, and drapery supported by a plinth with flowers. Bearing an embossed 'FARFALLA' to the front and impressed E. Villanis to the side. Mounted on a flat bronze plinth with curved sides. Simply a wonderful bronze! Date: Early 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is a small area of slight flattening to the nose. There is some wear to the gilding. Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some fine & light surface scratches, and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: After Emmanuel Villanis. Measurements: Width: ca. 3 in. Height: ca. 5 1/4 in. Depth: ca. 1 3/4 in. Items purchased from this dealer must delight you.
