Initially trained under Kim Man Sul, he honed his skills as a stone craftsman for over a decade before earning a scholarship to a prominent American art college. His artistic trajectory shifted when he collaborated with his mentor on a life-size bronze replica of China's Boshin Bell, igniting his passion for bronze sculpture. Kim's works, often depicting Native American themes, have been auctioned internationally, with notable pieces like "Head of an Indian with a single feather headdress" fetching significant attention.
