About the Item
For your consideration is this rare, one-of-a-kind bust by self-taught American outsider artist, Stephen Slomko (1929-2013). Slomko lived and worked in Farmingdale, New Jersey and upon retirement, began creating art late in life. This particular work was created in the 1990s and is composed of paint on papier-mâché with an apparent styrofoam core. It is larger-than-life scale, with vibrant fluorescent colors and has a charming handmade quality. Excellent condition.
