About the Item
A scarce large Doulton Lambeth early Art Deco figure of a Dutch Woman designed by renowned designer and modeler Leslie A Harradine and dating from around 1914. The figure modeled in white stoneware wears a long dress with apron and carries a large basket on one arm. Her dress is hand colored with a blue checkered pattern with a natural salt glazed finish.
