A beautiful and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu, patinated bronze and Vert de Patricia marble statue of drummer boys. The statue is raised by a rectangular Vert de Patricia marble base below a striking and finely detailed floral and coeur de rai designed wrap around ormolu band. The richly chased bronze above depicts two charming winged cherubs, one kneeling down holding a drum on this back while the other is playing on it.
