GINORI SCULPTURE "FOUR SEASONS" SECOND HALF OF THE 18th CENTURY
About the Item
Wonderful polychrome porcelain sculpture depicting the allegory of the four seasons. The figures personifying winter, autumn, spring and summer are harmoniously arranged around a tree on an idyllic hill, surrounded by flowers and streams. Winter is represented by a bearded old man in a colorful toga, autumn is embodied by a young Bacchus with bunches of grapes and a glass in his hand. Spring is a woman with garlands of flowers, while summer is a brightly colored woman holding a vial. This rare and refined sculpture can be attributed to the Ginori manufacture of the second half of the 18th century (ca. 1760). Please note that there is slight wear.
