Italian 19th century Bronze, Ormolu, and Marble statue, signed Ceribelli

About the Item

An elegant and high quality Italian 19th century Neo-Greek st. patinated Bronze, Ormolu, and Rouge Griotte marble bust of Bianca Capello signed C. Ceribelli. This very attractive bust of Bianca Capello is raised by a square mottled block of Rouge Griotte marble and supported on a mottled Ormolu base plate. Atop the marble base is a square patinated Bronze mottled edge socle displaying an Ormolu scrolled plaque containing Bianca's name. The bust of Bianca shows her adorned in formal blouse decorated with a large collar, foliate patterns on the chest, Ormolu tassels on the shoulders, and a ruffled cravat. She proudly wears a decorative cross around her neck hanging from a wonderful Ormolu necklace. She wears a tied back head piece decorated by scrolling foliate movements in the front while a patinated Bronze griffin poses above to showcase a crest under its paws.
