Tang Dynasty Pair of Painted Pottery Lokapalas Tang Dynasty (618-907), Height: 27.25 x 11.5 x 7" each PROVENANCE: Weisbrod Chinese Art, Ltd., New York Condition: Losses and restoration throughout. These items are very fragile. Both present amazingly beautiful and are extremely detailed with original paint traces throughout. A TL Test once accompanied these items however they have been lost. Weisbrod is no longer in business. Weisbrod Chinese Art is a prestigious family business specializing in Chinese art and antiquities for over 50 years, founded by the family of prominent dealer Michael Weisbrod. The business, which once had a notable gallery on East 57th Street in New York, is known for its high-quality ceramics, jades, bronzes, and sculpture. The collection is highly regarded by museums and collectors, and Michael Weisbrod has published numerous catalogs on the subject.
