About the Item
Stylish example of a pair of heavy well cast Grand Tour bronze seated figures of two amorino (infant cupid or cherub) probably of French origin, early nineteenth century.
Each figure reading as they lay resting on a naturalistic base ending on an off-white platform marble support.
*Nice pair bronzes would work as a pair of bookends.
Condition: Superb condition with no imperfections, nice surface patination, professionally cleaned. No foundry marks visible.
Measures: Height: (entire) 7.25” (16cm). Width: (at base) 10.5" (16.75cm). Depth: (at base) 4” (10.25cm).
