About the Item
A fine antique Georgian English Prattware pottery cradle containing a sleeping child dating from around 1800. The cradle sits raised on two rockers and modelled as a basket with a hood over one end. The child lies within the cradle asleep. The depiction is nicely potted with good detail and is hand painted with trailing leafy stems around the body and the child in typical palette. The piece is not marked but with an old collector number label to the base.
In good overall condition with minor glaze abrasion around the hood and to the edges.
