Susan Eisler (American, Born 1942) received BFA and MFA degrees from the University of Illinois, Urbana, in 1964 and 1966, respectively. She studied painting, printmaking, and ceramics. Since then, she has taught at many colleges and universities in the St. Louis area, including Washington University in St. Louis, Webster University, Lindenwood College, the University of Illinois, and St. Louis Community College. She has also served as a visiting artist at the Kansas City Art Institute and Atlanta College of Art.

Eisler is best known for her sculptures made of discarded objects, which she assembles into completely new, collage-inspired creations.
