About the Item
Exquisite pair of gilt bronze cups richly decorated with palmettes, small flowers and openwork foliage. Two ormolu dolphins support the base of each cup, which is decorated with gadrooning and a pine cone finial. The set rests on a high, rectangular base sculpted with water-leaf, stylized waves, foliage, and twisting patterns. Four bloom-shaped feet support the ensemble. Remarkable quality of the chasing,
