Set of two classical swivel jugs pitcher vases, iridescent surface, 1880 England

About the Item

Set of a swivel jug set, in highly elaborate quality, made around 1880 in England. The jugs have a round base which opens into a very bulbous body which then flows into a very upturned neck and an outlet with a lion's face. The handles are also designed with grotesques. The whole shape is very classic and tasteful. The round body of the jugs is designed with a terracotta application to create a rough surface. The entire surface is glazed in a fascinating iridescent shade of green. Measurements approx.: height 16,14 in - 41 cm, diameter 7,09 in - 18 cm These two terracotta vessels are of exceptional quality and impressive handcraft, made in England around 1880. The two objects would be a wonderful decoration on any dresser, shelf, table or column.
