Large Martaban Ming dynasty stoneware storage vase with dragons, 14th century. Beautiful Ochoa and yellow-brown glaze with decorated dragons and Ming clouds. Applied snail or dragon loops for ropes to hold down lid for storage and transport on vessels throughout Southeast Asia where these vessels were revered and collected for their beauty and utility. Ming dynasty (1368-1644) Measures: Height 39 inches Diameter 20.5 inches Condition: Excellent. One tight line lower vase 15 inches long (I owned and displayed the vase in my house for over six months and never noticed hairline until I took photos for this listing).
