Early 20th Century Royal Doulton Neoclassical Pitcher

About the Item

A glossy crimson and ochre Neoclassical pitcher made by the English pottery manufacturer Royal Doulton in the early 20th century. This piece is from the factory's 'Greek' series, produced between 1901 and 1922 (as identified by the maker's mark). A bold Greek key pattern encircles both the top and bottom of the pitcher, framing a Neoclassical scene of Greek warriors and maidens. Dimensions: 8 in. H x 6 in. at widest point x 5 in. Dm Condition: Excellent. Light allover crazing. Provenance: The Collection of Barry R. Harwood and Joseph V. Garry
