About
This hexagonal green and white marble vessel is a part of the debut collection of Stacked Stone Vessels. This collection marks the beginning of a larger series of sculptural objects exploring the use of lamination, pushing natural materials beyond their conventional limits and applications.
Precision cut, stacked and laminated rings of stone make up the thin walls of these architecturally inspired vessels. All work in this collection is made in small batches becoming available upon release with each piece signed and dated by the designer Gregory Buntain.
The Stacked Stone Vessels join Fort Standard’s larger limited edition collection, “Qualities of Material”, which launched in 2016. The collection investigates the properties of stone, wood and leather by employing specific material characteristics to create structural designs in the context of furniture.
This hexagonal shaped vessel is 7" W x 7 3/4" D x 10" H. It has 13 green and white laminated marble pieces. Version number H13GW. Pricing of other vessel shapes within this series varies based on size and shape.
