About the Item

Wedgwood black basalt jardiniere, made in England around 1900. The jardiniere has a floral banded border above fruiting grapevine festoons terminating at lion masks and rings with Muses below. Rare large size measuring 9 inches tall and 9 7/8 inches in diameter. Embossed "Wedgwood" on the bottom.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Good vintage condition. Some slight dicolorations on outside, moderate discoloration on outside bottom (can't be seen when up right). Inside bottom has some watermarks. A factory flaw smooth chip on the bottom lip, there are no other chips or cracks.
