French 19th c. Louis XVI St. Sarreguemines Cobalt Blue Porcelain & Ormolu Urn
About the Item
A stunning French 19th century Louis XVI st. Sarreguemines cobalt blue porcelain and Ormolu centerpiece urn. The centerpiece is raised by a richly chased circular Ormolu base with four handsome block feet with pierced rosettes and a berried laurel bands. The socle pedestal displays a wrap around Les Oves pattern and a lightly fluted shape. The beautifully shaped porcelain body is flanked by Greek Key designed handles, with berried acorn finials, centered by rosettes and joined by laurel garlands tied with a bow. A finely chased band decorates the neck and is finished by twisted rope styles trim.
