Georgian Mahogany Urns

Exceptional carving and a rich, warm patina distinguish these rare George III-period mahogany urns. These Neoclassical vessels, highlighted by fluted, gadrooned, anthemion and acanthus motifs, feature their original spigots and linings. Most likely used for tea or even spirits, it is incredibly uncommon to find urns from this period crafted of mahogany and maintaining such an amazing level of preservation. The fact that they are an intact pair make these Georgian urns even more desirable, circa 1775 Measure: 11" diameter x 24" high.
