About the Item

A wonderful and charming true pair of French 19th century Napoleon III st. patinated bronze and ormolu tazzas. Each tazza is raised by a square ormolu base with concave corners and a recessed reeded pattern below a decorative tied berried laurel band. Both display charming boys seated on a detailed tree stump amidst richly chased and etched flowers, and grape clusters. Each boy is holding up the top with a weave basket design at the underside and fabulous geometric patterns and rinceaux designs at the top. All framed within a beaded and foliate ormolu band. Rich warm patina throughout.
