19th Century Pair of Austro-Hungarian Vases in Silver Gilt with Gemstones

Pair of small Etruscan-shaped vases. Austro-Hungarian craftsmanship from the 19th century in silver-gilt and cabochons. They are carved with fluting and vegetal patterns and adorned with friezes of alternating turquoise and amethyst gemstones, circa 1860. Dimension: W 2.8 in, D 2.8in, H 5.5in. Dimension: L 7 cm, P 7 cm, H 14 cm.

Gorgeous Italian solid silver vase. Body made in one piece without welding. Embossed and chiseled, of rare beauty and precision. Two important handles made of fusion and finely chiseled were welded onto the vase. The inside of the vase has been gilded in thickness with a non-glossy technique in order to make the overhangs visible and appreciable also on the inside.
