The Albarello

About the Item

The Albarello is inspired by medicinal jars used to hold apothecaries’ ointments and dry drugs. Its shape made it easier to store on apothecary shelves. The ceramic is handthrown and the orignal decor has been blacked out. The shiny black glaze has been rubbed by hand by the artisans to give a matte finish.
