The Fiasca

About the Item

The Fiasca takes inspiration from storage vessels made in fairly standard shapes, they were designed to fit with dozens of others on a shelf, often in a pharmacy or shop. Their handles therefore tend to fit within the vessel’s profile, and the jar is generally narrower at the middle than at the top or bottom, making it easy to grip. The ceramic is handthrown and the orignal decor has been blacked out. The shiny black glaze has been rubbed by hand by the artisans to give a matte finish.
