Antique Bohemian Green 'Waldglas' Type Glass Etched Beaker or Cup

About the Item

A fine antique Bohemian glass tumbler cup or mug. The tumbler is a central European Historicism Period reproduction of a Middle Ages 'Waldglas Becher', having a flared lip, folded foot, and pushed up pontil mark. The circumference is engraved with fine grape vine and leaf designs and 2 birds. Simply a terrific cup! Provenance: From the estate of Catherine Spencer Eddy Beveridge (who was a Socialite and Philanthropist, wife of Senator Beveridge of Indiana, and the niece of Marshall Field) and by descent in her family. Date: Late 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with some very fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Measurements: Height: ca. 5 1/4 in. Diameter: ca. 3 3/4 in.
