'Arado' vase in Murano glass with cane work, created by Alessandro Mendini for Venini in 1988 Ø 14 cm h 38 cm Alessandro Mendini from the end of the 70s was among the innovators of Italian design. He worked for numerous companies such as Alessi, Venini, Bisazza, Cartier, Hermes, Sumpreme NYC, Swatch, Swarovski and many others. He has received numerous international awards, including the Italian industrial design award Compasso D'Oro in 1979; in 1981 together with I study Alchemy and in 2014 for his life's work. He edited many architecture magazines including Domus, Casabella and Modo founded by himself.
