Blue Ceramic Majolica Vase Vessel Decorative Butterflies Hand Painted Italy

About the Item

Of extraordinary beauty and unique charm, the blue butterfly has always been considered the bearer of wishes. According to ancient beliefs it has the power to make dreams come true. Instead, according to other cultures, the blue butterfly is a symbol of joy, happiness, honor and change. We imagined filling this vase with blue butterflies, creating an effect of overlap and depth. The glazed majolica "Petalouda" vase was handmade and subsequently hand painted in Italy. DIMENSIONS: D 26 cm (10.2 in) H 41 cm (16.1 in) COLORS: black, blue, light blue, green, white The beauty of a deBlona majolica is determined by the ancient process, unchanged over time and handmade, which we observe to the letter in the creation of our artworks: painting ceramics is a very complex, fascinating and insidious art, but it is precisely the human and imperfect sign that makes every piece so characteristic and totally unique. deBlona's essence is represented by the interpretation of the color and by an unrepeatable taste, with which we want to give new chromatic emotions. Visit our 1stDibs storefront to discover the whole deBlona collection.
