Blue Ceramic Vase Butterflies 24 Kt Gold Luster Hand Painted Decorative Vessel
About the Item
Of extraordinary beauty and unique charm, the blue butterfly has always been considered the bearer of wishes. According to ancient beliefs it has the power to make dreams come true. Instead, according to other cultures, the blue butterfly is a symbol of joy, happiness, honor and change. We imagined filling this vase with blue butterflies, creating an effect of overlap and depth. The background where the butterflies fly was made in a third firing with 24 kt gold luster, the mirrored gold surface creates a surprising optical effect that makes the butterflies seem truly suspended in flight. A magnetic vase for the eye and with a great aesthetic impact.
The glazed majolica "Petalouda Gold" vase was handmade and subsequently hand painted in Italy.
Limited Edition of 50.
DIMENSIONS: D 26 cm (10.2 in) H 41 cm (16.1 in)

The beauty of a deBlona majolica is determined by the ancient process, unchanged over time and handmade, which we observe to the letter in the creation of our artworks: painting ceramics is a very complex, fascinating and insidious art, but it is precisely the human and imperfect sign that makes every piece so characteristic and totally unique.
deBlona's essence is represented by the interpretation of the color and by an unrepeatable taste, with which we want to give new chromatic emotions. Visit our 1stDibs storefront to discover the whole deBlona collection.

deBlona
The creation of deBlona brand took place in 2020, triggered by a chance meeting between the entrepreneur Moreno Sagni and the designer Riccardo Mei: their common passion for art and Italian artistic craftsmanship led them to combine energy and skills to take on this challenge.
In a world that runs at overwhelming digital speed, they made a choice against the tide: stopping time, restoring value and prestige to an ancient craft, to an art. Because there are things that cannot be forgotten, even if today they sound so foreign to the new normal, far from the trends that end in a click. So, deBlona changes speed, following the rhythm of another time, that of the masters, and creating in places of quiet and silence. Our brand bets on that tradition that runs through history and continues to lead the chain of gestures of creation, inspired by today’s imagination and flair. Our atelier is the place where research and creation begin: it’s the house of the skilled artists on whom we rely to offer you the most exclusive and precious artifacts. Here, deBlona majolica comes to life, from each artisans’ deep knowledge of materials and techniques, to their experience and craftmanship. Each signature has its own distinctive feature: deBlona’s represented by the uniqueness of the decorations and the interpretation of the color. Majolica accompanies the history of mankind, telling its existence for centuries: here, in our Atelier, we want to keep on narrating our time.

- Authentic Talavera Decorative Vase Folk Art Vessel Mexican Ceramic Blue WhiteLocated in Queretaro, QueretaroElegant white and blue vessel made with the Talavera technique. Artist, Cesar Torres portraits the colonial art of Mexico. The Talavera is not just a simple painted ceramic: its exquisite decoration is the product of a delicate process of alchemy that translates into fine enamels. In Puebla, Mexico few people still produce using Talavera with the ancestral techniques. One of those few is Cesar Torres, Don Cesar learned his art in the workshop of the Uriarte family, an excellent workshop where his grandfather worked. In his creations he uses the black and white mud that is obtained from the nearby hills of Loreto and Guadalupe, and colors of mineral origin that he creates in his workshop with recipes from his grandfather. All the pieces are modeled in a traditional way and go through a production process that usually takes from one to two months, between drying, burning, and painting. Being surrounded by a living tradition, Cesar Torres Jr., learned from his father since childhood. Architect by profession, Cesar Jr. has come to revolutionize and modernize with new designs and ideas of the current world, nevertheless always respecting the tradition of the processes and materials that make Talavera a Creole art...Category
