Denmark, 1960s.
In 1958, Einar Johansen started working for the well-established Søholm Stentøj on the Danish island of Bornholm. His vast production is among the most popular by Søholm of that period, often using softly shaped designs and vivid colors. Søholm is known for its use of dark blues and browns, whereas Johansen tended towards a pastel palette. Einar Johansen stopped working for Søholm Stentøj in 1971.
