Denise Wren Oxshott Pottery Studio Pottery Twin Handled Vase

About the Item

A stylish and unusual Oxshott Pottery studio pottery twin handled vase by highly renowned potter Denise Wren (Australian, 1891-1979) and probably dating from around 1950. The heavily made hand crafted vase stands on a flat white glazed base and is of round bulbous shape with a funnel shaped top and with ornamental handles applied to either side of the rim. The vase is decorated in thickly streaked brown, green and blue glazes over a white glazed ground with a natural glazed interior. The base of the vase is hand marked OXSHOTT. Provenance: from the collection of a private gentleman and originating from the UK art market. In good overall condition.
