Salt Glazed Three Handled Studio Pottery Vase

About the Item

A very stylish British studio pottery three handled bottle vase decorated in salt glazes signed to the base and dating from the 20th century. The hand thrown vase stands on a narrow round base with a finely combed finish with a round bulbous shaped body with a funnel shaped neck and a fold back wider top rim. The vase has three looped lug shaped handles applied around the shoulder which is decorated in green streaked salt glazes with elements of brown with the lower body in natural glazes with speckled brown elements. The vase has an incised EX10 mark to the base which we have been unable to identify however this is an extremely well and professionally made piece and a wonderful vase to display. Provenance: Acquired from the UK Art Market. In good condition with light wear from age and use.
