Edwardian Amphora Austria "Campina" Owl Pottery Vase

About the Item

Amphora Austria "Campina" Owl Pottery Vase circa 1910 An Austrian Pottery vase adorned with an owl-inspired design motif stands out for its intricate detailing. The owls themselves feature enamel-like slip, displaying hues of pine green, deep blue, and earthy brown. Complementing this, bands of similar slipware in a rich, dark blue embellish both the top and bottom of the vase. The handles, seamlessly integrated with the top band, enhance the vase's aesthetic appeal. On the reverse side, a circle bearing four stylized shields adds further artistic flair. Examining the base reveals several markings: the words "Austria," "Amphora," and "Campina," accompanied by a crown symbol and design numbers 11619 The vase is approximately 5.25 inches tall, 5.25 inches in diameter, and is marked as shown in the pictures.
