A Fine Pair of Royal Vienna Gilt Porcelain Covered vases
About the Item
An exquisite pair of highly decorated Royal Vienna Gilt Porcelain covered vases. Scenes of neoclassical beauties on all four sides with large paintings on the front and back, and smaller scenes below each handle. The porcelain glazes are brilliantly bright with raised gold painted accents. Rows of strung leaves, bands of flowers and the greek key pattern wrap around each vase, cover and base, consistent and uniform throughout. One of the most magnificent elements of the pair are their bases, with individual gilt scenes within a half circle at the center of each face, the crane is particularly striking.
