French Limoges Porcelain Burgundy Gilt Swan Handle Centerpiece Signed SC

A beautiful vintage French Limoges porcelain swan handled table centerpiece / vase / fruit bowl / jardiniere / wine cooler with medallions after renowned 18th century Rococo painter Jean-Honore Fragonard (French, 1732-1806) Exquisitely hand-crafted in France, late 20th century, high-quality white-paste porcelain, rich burgundy red ground, with stunning hand painted decoration, luxurious gilt accents, and sought-after transferware medallions with exceptional detail work, complexity, and rich polychrome, depicting provincial romantic courting couple scenes with elaborate flowering decoration, after Fragonard. Classical inspired large footed centerpiece shaped body with flared rim, deep oval basin and open top, flanked by brilliantly gilded figural swan-form handles, rising on square socle pedestal base. Signed, with maker's mark, artists intial S.C? and dated "84" presumably for 1984 underfoot. Dimensions: (approx) 10.5" High, 13.25" Wide, 11" Deep *Please note, at the time of writing this, a similarly styled different form two-piece handled vase / jardiniere / cache pot bowl is currently available.
