This exquisite Art Nouveau vase by Émile Gallé in Nancy is statement pieces in the room. Signed E. Gallé. Large Flattened banjo form cabinet vase with red currant decoration in clear frosted clear glass internally suffused with yellow at the base and bright crimson, pink cameo overlay, signed  "Galle," circa 1904-1918. Dimensions: Height: 16.14" (41 cm) Width: 5.90" (15 cm) In its style, the set is French Art Nouveau. Émile Gallé was a French glass maker and furniture designer based in his hometown. His favorite motif, which he used a lot in his work, was the plant. There were also many insect motifs.  Gallé was probably the greatest glass maker of all time and one of the founding father's of the Art Nouveau movement.
