Italian Faience 18th Century Majolica Riser with Annunciation

About the Item

From Central Italy a 18th century Majolica Riser consisting of a flat circular dish with raised edge, resting on a base with a simple shape. The top has a polychrome decoration, mainly in yellow and blue colors, depicting the Annunciation framed by a drapery of stylized fabrics. The majolica is in good condition except minimal chips on the edge and small craters due to firing. It dates back to 1700 and comes from Central Italy. They come from a private Milanese collection. This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago requires a governative license for export called Belle Arti. The shipping may require additional 2-3 handling weeks to require and get the license according to the final destination of the artwork.
