Jørgen Mogensen (1927–2004) was a Danish ceramist and sculptor known for his work with Royal Copenhagen starting in 1949. Influenced by modernist and later Mexican art, he created earthy stoneware pieces featuring semi-abstract motifs. In 1965, he left Royal Copenhagen to open his own studio with his wife, Ursula Printz Mogensen, where he produced more sculptural, primitive-style ceramics. His works are now highly collectible for their textured glazes and sculptural forms.
