About the Item

Elegant mid-century ceramic vase attributed to Vallauris, France, circa 1950s. This piece features a classic ovoid silhouette with gently sloping shoulders and a narrow opening. The surface is finished with a dark glaze and a gold-bronze metallic craquelure effect on the upper section, creating a warm and striking contrast. The unmarked terracotta base is typical of artisanal studio pieces produced in Vallauris during the postwar years, when the region became renowned for its ceramic innovation. The lustrous metallic finish and subtle irregularities give the vase a sculptural presence, ideal for both modern and vintage interiors. In very good vintage condition, showing only minor surface wear consistent with age, with no structural damage. A beautiful example of French ceramic artistry from the mid-20th century. Origin: Vallauris, France Period: 1950s Material: Terracotta with metallic glaze Technique: Craquelure metallic luster Condition: Very good vintage condition — light wear, no structural damage Unmarked (typical of studio production)
