The Lucienne Flushmount; a playful piece of functional sculpture inspired by the fabric designs of Lucienne Day. A note on the design: Blueprint lighting's Chief Luminary, Kelly Aaron, opened her first Mid-Century Modern design store in 1999 and became a respected young voice in mid-century design, Studio Pottery, and modern craft; guest-curating museum exhibitions, contributing to arts texts and giving gallery talks. Around this time, her extreme adoration of Lucienne Day's textile designs began; Kelly spent time tracking down bits of vintage Lucienne Day barkcloth to fabricate pillows in the back of her retail shop.
