Pair of 19th Century Dutch Hand Painted Faience Delft Vases with Sailboat Motifs
About the Item
Decorate a shelf or console table with this elegant pair of antique vases with sailboat motifs. Crafted in Holland circa 1890, the round vases have a shell shape form with a wide rim at the top. Each vessel is hand painted in the blue and white Delft palette, and each medallion is decorated with pastoral scenes with sailboat and fishermen, further embellished with floral and foliage motifs throughout. The porcelain pieces are in excellent condition, with soft hand painted colors, and are stamped on the bottom "Delft" for further authenticity and provenance. A must for blue and white lovers!
