Pair of Mid-Century Dutch Hand Painted Faience Delft Vases with Pastoral Scenes

About the Item

Decorate a shelf or console table with this elegant pair of antique vases. Crafted in Holland circa 1940, the round vases have a shell shape form with a wide rim at the top and hand painted in the blue and white Delft palette. Each vessel is dressed with an oval medallion decorated with pastoral scenes depicting peasant and horses, and further embellished with floral and foliage motifs throughout. The porcelain vases are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn soft hand painted colors in the two-tone blue palette over white background. They are further stamped on the bottom "Societe Ceramique, Maastritch, Made in Holland " for further authenticity and provenance. A must for blue and white lovers! Measures: 12.75" H.
