About the Item

A pair of Swedish Modern "Chamotte" vases by Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand. The name Chamotte indicates the large fragments of crushed earthenware pieces that was applied in the glace to give it a spectacular look. The series was introduced in 1936 and stood in contrast to the smooth forms popular at the same time.
