Vintage Venini Murano Fulvio Bianconi Double Incalmo Blown Glass Vase
Located in Uccle, BE
Among the many designs and different techniques he experimented within his collaboration with Venini, Fulvio Bianconi used the "A incalmo" technique which requires great mastery from the glassblowers.
This is an "a doppio incalmo" vase which simply means a double incalmo.
Cylindrical vase, composed of three distinct colors. The base in black glass, the middle part in red glass and the upper part in blue glass.
The vases were obtained by merging several "rings" of molten glass.
Designed in 1951, the vase is in very good condition. It was produced in the 1950s and bears the acid seal "venini murano italia".
The vase is published in many books, and is sometimes misattributed to Thomas Stearns who will be inspired by these forms and these particular techniques developed by Fulvio Bianconi, Paolo Venini and also Ricardo Licata...

Vicke Lindstrand (1904 - 1983) is considered one of the pioneers of the Swedish glass art scene. He also showed his feel for contemporary trends as a ceramic artist and painter. He celebrated his first international successes at the World Exhibition in Stockholm 1930. Vicke Lindstrand´s design works were part of the art competitions at the Summer Olympics in 1932 and 1936. He worked as a trend-setting designer for Orrefors and Kosta. In his final decade Vicke Lindstrand worked together with Hanne Dreutler and Arthur Zirrnsack at Studio Glashyttan in Åhus.

History
Scheurich was founded in 1928 by Alois Scheurich and his cousin Fridolin Greulich as a wholesaler of glass, porcelain and ceramics. In 1938, Scheurich settled in Kleinheubach (70 kilometers southeast of Frankfurt am Main). In 1948, the production of household ceramics began. Scheurich stopped the wholesale activities in 1954 and focused entirely on manufacturing ceramics himself. Initially they mainly made bowl dishes and ashtrays, but they soon switched to vases and flower pots.
Scheurich's hegemony began in the late 1960s.
Scheurich mainly makes vases and flower pots, but has also produced ashtrays, piggy banks, candle stands, beer mugs, buffet clocks, wall reliefs and Christmas tree...
