Persian Ware Ceramic Bottle Vases Attributed to Samson et Cie

About the Item

Our pair of Persian ware ceramic bottle vases in the 17th century Iznik style, attributed to Samson et Cie, circa 1870-1890, are decorated with the figures of lions or panthers attacking deer, with cranes and foliage on a turquoise ground. Mounted with Louis XVI style silvered metal pedestals, apparently spelter. One marked France. For a similar pair, see lot 299 in the June 21, 20221 sale at Neal Auction Company of New Orleans.
