About the Item

Rare tall vase from the Danish ceramic manufacturer P. Ibsens Enke, which was situated in Copenhagen. Made ca. 1930s. The glaze is turquoise and red and shows a crackle effect. It was developed for P. Ipsens Enke by the ceramist Axel Sørensen (1891-1967) ca. 1930s and is called "Danit" glaze. The Ipsens Enke hallmark isn´t visible or perhaps barely visible on bottom. Maybe it has been covered by the glaze. But it´s definitely a piece from P. Ipsens Enke.
