Sculpture Geometric Ceramic Vase Vessel Special Iridescent Bronze Glazed Italy
About the Item
The sculptural vase 'Panoplia' is distinguished by its particular shape characterized by an alternance of voids and overlapping solids that make it a vase with 'a thousand faces': looking at it from every angle, this artwork appears different, in continuous transformation. The decoration is created with a special enamel at very high temperature, giving the sculpture a metallic appearance with shades ranging from lead to bronze with unexpected iridescences. Its appearance may recall that of a breastplate, an armor, concealing in itself the fragility which is usually attributed to a vase, hence the name 'Panoplia'. Made entirely by hand in Italy, in a 20-piece edition.
DIMENSIONS: D ~ 28 cm (11 in) H ~ 48 cm (18.9 in)
COLORS: special iridescent bronze
Limited Edition of 20.
The beauty of a deBlona majolica is determined by the ancient process, unchanged over time and handmade, which we observe to the letter in the creation of our artworks: painting ceramics is a very complex, fascinating and insidious art, but it is precisely the human and imperfect sign that makes every piece so characteristic and totally unique.
deBlona's essence is represented by the interpretation of the color and by an unrepeatable taste, with which we want to give new chromatic emotions. Visit our 1stDibs storefront to discover the whole deBlona collection.

deBlona
Founded in 2020, deBlona emerged from a serendipitous encounter between entrepreneur Moreno Sagni and designer Riccardo Mei. Their shared passion for art and the timeless elegance of Italian craftsmanship inspired them to embark on this venture, blending their energies and expertise to revive a cherished tradition. In an era dominated by digital immediacy, deBlona chooses a different path—one that honors time and the mastery of an ancient craft. While fleeting trends may captivate for a moment, we believe in creating pieces that transcend the ephemeral. Our brand is a tribute to the art of slowing down, where every gesture reflects a lineage of skilled artisans, shaping works of beauty in quiet studios far from the rush of modern life. At deBlona, our atelier is where tradition meets innovation. It’s a sanctuary for our master artisans, whose expertise in materials and techniques is the foundation of every exquisite creation. Here, our majolica pieces come to life, infused with a deep reverence for history and a contemporary artistic vision. What defines deBlona is the singularity of our decorative approach and our bold interpretation of color. Majolica has long been a witness to humanity’s story, and through our work, we aim to continue that narrative—one of artistry, craftsmanship, and timeless beauty.
