When the company hired Mr. Anagrius and Mrs. Winblad they developed a unique style and design. The history of art pottery from Alingsås. Alingsås Keramik was started in 1947 by Halvard Oldberg and Hilding Canemark. In the beginning, enamel work was a specialty, but soon turned to pieces of design ceramics, stoneware and earthenware. They succeeded so well that for a few years they exported large quantities of their goods to the United States. The success can be attributed to some leading designers, artists and decorators included Tomas Anagrius. He had then worked with famous designer Stig Lindberg at Gustavsberg keramik. Anagrius is represented at the Swedish National Museum for Art and Design. Another designer asset was Ulla Winblad designed pottery from 1958-1967, before moving to the USA. Ulla's artistry is represented at numerous museums in the Nordic countries and North America.
