About the Item

The company Höganäsbolaget shut down its production of stoneware in 1926 to concentrate production on other products. Two employees, the brothers Gustaf and Oskar Nyman then left the company to start their own factory; "Nyman & Nyman - Höganäs Keramik". Production in the new factory started in 1930. Several people who had previously worked at Höganäsbolaget were employed, and the company also took advantage of the vessel factory's molds. Nyman & Nyman's early production is therefore almost identical to what was produced at Höganäsbolaget before 1926. The company was run under the name Nyman & Nyman - Höganäs Keramik with the signature N&N until 1946 when it was sold. Holm & Bjurestig - Höganäs Keramik became the new name with the signature N&B. In 1956, Andersson & Johansson took over the business and the factory instead became part of the "new" Höganäs Keramik.
