Upsala-Ekeby Gefle Art Deco Art Pottery Linear Pattern Vase

About the Item

An unusual Swedish Art Deco pottery vase decorated with a linear pattern marked Upsala-Ekeby Gefle and indistinctly and faintly signed and dated, believed 1937. The lightly potted vase is of simple rounded dome shape with a narrow funnel shaped neck and is decorated with a series of gilt and brown painted horizontal lines on a cream colored ground. The vase has a gilded printed makers mark to the base and is indistinctly signed and dated below. In good condition with a small minor rubbed area to the glaze.
