Very Old Excavated Small Pottery Jar from China / Wabi-Sabi Vase / before 9th

About the Item

This is a very ancient Chinese excavated pottery. The color of the pottery is gray and it is fired unglazed without any glaze. Also, the gray color is due to the reduction flame, and the temperature of the kiln is about 1,000 degrees Celsius. It is thought that this was probably created about 2,200 years ago(around the 2nd century BC), during the period when there were many countries in China and they were unified into a country called Han. At that time, China was more advanced in pottery technology than other countries, and it took a long time for the technology to reach Korea and Japan. In Japan, pottery that is fired at temperatures above 1,000 degrees began around the 5th century. You can see how the country of China had advanced technology in pottery. Also, because this pottery has been buried in the soil for a long time, the surface has deteriorated, creating unevenness like this. You can really feel the wabi-sabi and it's really cool. In addition, it can be said that the condition is very good without any large cracks or repairs. If you add water directly, the water will seep through, so please put water in another container, put it in this pot, and decorate the flowers. It's hard to get a good looking pot like this.
